Forty-four new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lithuania over Thursday, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) reported on Friday morning.
Seven of the new cases are linked to a garment factory in Šiauliai County, northern Lithuania. So far, 28 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in this cluster.
Another garment factory in the town of Šiauliai has been identified as a new cluster where six new cases were confirmed on Thursday. There do not appear to be any links between the two factories, according to the NVSC.
Three new cases in Tauragė County, western Lithuania, are linked to a military unit where 41 coronavirus infections have been confirmed to date.
Moreover, two of the new cases are students in two Vilnius schools. Seventy-five people were instructed to self-isolate as a result of it.

Two people were diagnosed with Covid-19 after returning from abroad, one from Ukraine and the other from France.
Twelve infections could not be traced to any known sources or foreign travel, the NVSC said.
Lithuania's total coronavirus count currently stands at 3,243. Of them, 2,049 people have already recovered, while 1,095 remain active cases.
So far, 86 people have died in the country from Covid-19.
At the moment, 7,390 people are in self-isolation. They include confirmed cases, their close contacts and travelers subject to the 14-day self-quarantine requirement.
