EU Commissioner responsible for Agriculture Dacian Ciolos visited Lithuania and met with Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Virginija Baltraitiene. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss Russian sanctions imposed on agricultural products and EU’s support for Lithuanian farmers.

EU Commissioner responsible for Agriculture Dacian Ciolos visited Lithuania and met with Lithuanian Minister of Agriculture Virginija Baltraitiene. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss Russian sanctions imposed on agricultural products and EU’s support for Lithuanian farmers.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development earlier has stated that Lithuania with fellow Baltic States, Estonia and Latvia, are most vulnerable in the context of the Russian block on EU food exports imposed in return for Western sanctions (strongly supported by all the three Baltic countries).
