 (BNS) Lithuania’s Central Electoral Commission Monday confirmed just over 2.5 million Lithuanian citizens as eligible voters for the Sunday’s presidential elections.

 (BNS) Lithuania’s Central Electoral Commission Monday confirmed just over 2.5 million Lithuanian citizens as eligible voters for the Sunday’s presidential elections.

“Voter lists include a total of 2,541,862 (citizens),” Jurga Augustaitytė of the commission’s secretariat said at a meeting on Monday.

Over 10,000 voters have been listed to vote with Lithuania’s diplomatic missions abroad.

After hearing the submitted information, the Central Electoral Commission approved the voter lists unanimously.

Voting abroad has already started. In Lithuania, early voting will open on Wednesday.

Seven candidates will compete in the Sunday’s Lithuania’s presidential election.

Should the elections require a second round, it will take place in conjunction with the elections to the European Parliament on May 25.
