On Monday, the Government Strategic Planning Committee approved the programme related to the increase in the employment for the 2014-2020 period. The programme is said to deal with the strategies for tackling the problem of unemployment.

According to Lithuania’s Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, the question of unemployment had to be solved while incorporating political, social and economical means.

“The fight against unemployment is one of the most essential problems. We are trying to solve this problem in a cooperative way, while incorporating the sectors of the business and education, social partners and municipalities,” said Butkevičius.
