Lithuania has registered 380 new coronavirus infections and one death from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Thursday morning.
This is the biggest daily infection count since the beginning of June.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate has risen to 91.4 cases per 100,000 people and the daily share of positive tests has edged up to 2.5 percent, according to the latest statistics.
There were 6,444 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 7,718 antigen tests performed on Wednesday.
Overall, 282,039 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic, and the number of active cases has risen to 2,348 over the past 24 hours.
A total of 4,413 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 9,026.
On Tuesday, 11,343 people were vaccinated with the first vaccine dose and 5,132 were given their second shot.
In all, 1.39 million people in the country, or 49.6 percent of the population, have been vaccinated at least once, 1.23 million have received two vaccine jabs.
According to Statistics Lithuania, there are currently 136 coronavirus patients being treated at the country's hospitals, 15 of them are in intensive care.
