Ervinas Pareigis of Lesto, the electricity grid operator, told BNS that power supply would be fully restored during the day except for isolated cases in the district of Varėna in the southern part of Lithuania.

“The number of households without electricity is the biggest in the district of Varėna, about 1,000. Also, there are about 600 households still without power in the district of Vilnius. We plan to finish the repairs during the day, except for, maybe, isolated cases in the district of Varena, where the number of outages is the biggest and the situation is the most difficult <…>,” he said.

Heavy winds left around 40,000 households without electricity in Lithuania on Saturday night.
