International media group Alma Media has decided to sell the BNS Group, The Baltic Course informs, with reference to the Lithuanian business daily ‘Verslo žinios’.

 International media group Alma Media has decided to sell the BNS Group, The Baltic Course informs, with reference to the Lithuanian business daily ‘Verslo žinios’.

According to ‘Verslo žinios’, prospective buyers are being sought in all Baltic States. The price has not been set yet, and Alma Media is planning to sell the BNS Group to the buyer that bids the highest price.

Alma Media representatives have declined to comment, and the BNS news agency’s director Jurga Eivaitė has neither confirmed nor rejected this information.

Verslo žinios’ managed to contact Kauppalehti Oy Managing Director Juha-Petri Loimovuori, but he declined to confirm any sales plans for the BNS Group.

Verslo žinios’ also reports that several major media companies in Lithuania have been offered to consider purchasing the BNS Group.

The BNS Group owns the BNS news agency and media monitoring companies Mediaskopas, Mediju Monitorings, and ETA Uudistetalituse.
