Crisis management, civil protection, and terrorist attack drills will take place in Vilnius on Tuesday.
Participants will train how to respond to a large-scale fire involving chemical contamination with a terrorist attack taking place simultaneously.
“The aim of these exercises is to assess and improve the interaction between [authorities] and non-governmental organizations in responding to complex incidents caused by hybrid threats,” the Police Department said in a press release.
“Particular attention will be paid to strengthening both physical and cyber security, especially during international events when the risk of threats increases,” it added.
The exercise will involve representatives of the Vilnius County Police, the anti-terrorist operations team ARAS, the Lithuanian Police Academy, the Fire and Rescue Department, the emergency medical services, and the Emergency Response Centre.
