Housing prices in Lithuania grew at one of the highest rates in the European Union in the third quarter of last year, according to Eurostat.
In July-September, housing in Lithuania appreciated by 8.7 percent compared to the same period in 2022. Only Bulgaria (9.2 percent), Poland (9.3 percent) and Croatia (10.7 percent) saw higher prices, according to data published on Wednesday.
In Latvia, housing prices rose by 3.2 percent year-on-year and in Estonia by 3.8 percent.
Prices of residential properties in Lithuania rose by 2.4 percent in the third quarter compared to the second quarter. In Latvia, they fell by 0.9 percent and in Estonia by 0.3 percent.
Across the EU, housing prices fell by an average of 1 percent year-on-year and rose by 0.8 percent over the third quarter.
