EU support to be granted for projects minimising Lithuania’s energy isolation

The European Commission and the Committee to the Trans-European Networks for Energy made a decision to give the financial support for three projects related to the elimination of Lithuania’s isolation of energy, writes the Baltic Course with reference to the news agency ELTA. 

The European Commission and the Committee to the Trans-European Networks for Energy made a decision to give the financial support for three projects related to the elimination of Lithuania’s isolation of energy, writes the Baltic Course with reference to the news agency ELTA.

It is suggested to give EUR 420 thousand (50 per cent of the necessary money) for the evaluation of the effect of the gas link between Poland and Lithuania on the environment.

Moreover, it is suggested to give EUR 252 thousand (50 per cent of the necessary money) for the project of the Underground gas storage Syderiai and evaluation of its effect on the environment.

It is offered to give EUR 50 thousand (10 per cent of the necessary money) for the installation works related to the permanent stream of LitPol Link.
