The Mariupol State University (MSU) Centre is being opened at Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) in Kaunas on Monday.
To mark this occasion, VDU is hosting an academic forum and a discussion with MSU Rector Mykola Trofymenko.
“We are pleased to continue to expand our ties with Ukraine, which were already strong before the war – we had 30 agreements with the country’s universities,” VDU Rector Juozas Augutis said in a press release.
The Centre of Ukraine was established at VDU last year.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Kaunas-based university has admitted over 300 students from Ukraine.
Founded in 1991, MSU was bombed by Russian forces last year and now operates in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine.
