On 23-24 May, 2013, Lithuanian diplomats in London are planning to swap their London office for a temporary two day one-stop consular station in Northern Ireland, the Embassy of Lithuania in the UK has informed.

Such an initiative stems from the discussions with local Lithuanian communities and requests from individuals received via social media channels.

The Embassy of Lithuania in the UK further informed that the information about the services, which will be provided in Dungamnon and Portadown is published on the embassy website: uk.mfa.lt.

To book an appointment Lithuanian nationals are encouraged to email konsulinis.uk@urm.lt and use this opportunity to visit and enquire about issue of passports, travel documents, as well as notarial services, citizenship, etc.

“Similar missions to provide first-hand professional expertise to Lithuanians living in various regions in the UK are planned for the future. We hope this will make it easier for nationals living far away from London to find answers and solutions to issues, which otherwise would involve travel to the embassy,” the Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK, Asta Skaisrigytė Liauskienė said in a telephone interview.
