Lithuania has recorded a new daily high of 6,478 coronavirus infections and twelve deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, official statistics showed on Friday.
Eleven of the latest fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
A total of 9,453 people have been vaccinated over the past 24 hours, including 752 with their first dose.
The number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals now stands at 982, including 91 ICU cases.
About 22,800 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 4,500 antigen tests have been performed over the past 24 hours.
The 14-day infection rate has risen further to 2,117.6 per 100,000 people, with the seven-day percentage of positive tests at 26.5 percent.
Overall, 595,700 people in Lithuania have tested positive for Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic. The death toll has reached 7,700.
