Lithuania records highest industrial growth in eurozone

In November last year, Lithuania recorded the highest growth in industrial production in the Eurozone compared to the same period in 2020, according to Eurostat figures released on January 12. 

Lithuania recorded a growth of 17%, with Poland coming in second with 15.3% and Bulgaria third with 13.3%.

According to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, the production of capital goods year-on-year in the euro area fell by 9.8%, while intermediate goods rose by 1.9%, energy by 3.7%, durable consumer goods by 4.4% and non-durable consumer goods by 6.1%.

In November 2021 compared with November 2020, industrial production decreased by 1.5% in the euro area and remained unchanged in the EU, Eurostat said.
