Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said he did not discuss with his counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky the recent meeting of influential Ukrainians in Vilnius.

"We actively communicate and I think we will have a chance to talk about what took place in Lithuania and openly look into certain circumstances," Nauėda said after a virtual meeting with Zelensky and Polish President Andrzej Duda on Thursday.

Based on Ukrainian media reports, oligarch RInat Akhmetov and a group of influential politicians and media figures visited Vilnius last week.

The report came amid what Zelensky said was an alleged coup being planned against Kyiv, claiming that Ahmetov was involved. He denied the accusations.

Nausėda refrained to go into details until he discussed the issue with Zelensky.

"I don’t want to go into details until I have the president's agreement for this specific topic," the Lithuanian leader said.

He also expressed his delight over existing "sincere and open" relations with Ukraine, expressing his hope that such relations will remain in the future.
