Lithuania confirmed 3,509 new coronavirus infections and 22 deaths from Covid-19 on Tuesday, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Sixteen of the fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
The daily infection count is one of the highest since the start of the pandemic.
A total of 7,460 people have been vaccinated over the past 24 hours, including 2,920 with their first dose. So far, the country has vaccinated 64.4 percent of its population with at least one vaccine shot.
Lithuania's hospitals are currently treating 1,848 coronavirus patients, including 146 in need of intensive care. During the peak of the pandemic last January, the number of patients in the country hit 2,600.
Some 16,300 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 8,700 antigen tests have been performed over the past 24 hours.
The 14-day infection rate has risen further to reach 1,365 per 100,000 people, with the seven-day percentage of positive tests unchanged at 14 percent.
