Lithuania plans to donate unused AstraZeneca vaccines it has to other countries.
“At the moment, we have some 180,000 AstraZeneca vaccines we plan to donate to other countries,” Linas Galkus, an adviser at the Health Ministry, told reporters on Tuesday.
So far this year, Lithuania has donated 200,000 AstraZeneca vaccines to Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia, and has also sent almost 256,000 doses to Taiwan.
Earlier this month, Lithuania also donated 50,000 Moderna vaccines to Armenia.
A total of 533,200 AstraZeneca vaccines have been used in Lithuania so far, according to the country's statistics office. The country has so far donated 606,500 doses.
