Lithuania has registered 2,493 new coronavirus infections and 17 deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday morning.
Twelve of the fatalities were either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.
A total of 5,493 people have been vaccinated over the past 24 hours, including 2,073 with their first dose.
The total number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals has increased by several dozen over the past 24 hours to 1,488, including 144 ICU cases.
Some 16,500 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 8,800 antigen tests have been performed over the past 24 hours.
The 14-day infection rate has risen to 998.5 per 100,000 people, and the seven-day percentage of positive rests has gone up to 10.8 percent.
A total of 5,308 people have died of Covid-19 in Lithuania so far.
