Lithuania has registered 96 new coronavirus infections and no deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Monday morning.
The country also registered 231 cases on Saturday, and 189 on Sunday. No deaths were registered over the weekend.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate has risen to 65.9 cases per 100.000 people, and the daily share of positive tests has edged up to 2.2 percent, according to the latest statistics.
Some 2,191 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 2,062 antigen tests have been performed in the last 24 hours.
Overall, 281,063 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic, and the number of active cases has risen to 1,721 over the past 24 hours.
A total of 4,410 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 9,014.
So far, over 1.35 million people, or 48.4 percent of the population, have been vaccinated at least once and over 1.2 million have been given two shots.
