Lithuania has confirmed 193 new coronavirus infections and one death from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Thursday morning.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate has risen to 45.1 cases per 100,000 people, and the daily share of positive tests has edged up to 1.5 percent, according to the latest statistics.
There were 6,056 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 3,423 antigen tests performed on Wednesday.
Overall, 280,296 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic, and the number of active cases has risen to 1,164 over the past 24 hours.
A total of 4,408 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The overall number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 9,004.
Over 12,672 people were vaccinated in the country on Tuesday: 7,804 got their first vaccine shot and 4,868 got their second jab.
So far, over 1.32 million people, or 47.4 percent of the population, have been vaccinated at least once and over 1.12 million have been given two shots.
