Lithuania has registered 80 new coronavirus infections and no deaths from Covid-19 over the past 24 hours, the country's statistics office said on Wednesday.
Lithuania's 14-day coronavirus infection rate has risen to 21.7 cases per 100,000 people, and the share of positive tests has been 0.8 percent over the past seven days.
Some 5,731 molecular (PCR) tests for Covid-19 and 3,116 antigen tests were performed in the country.
Overall, 279,381 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic, of whom 605 remain active cases.
A total of 4,402 people have died from Covid-19 in Lithuania so far. The number of deaths directly or indirectly related to the coronavirus has reached 8,976.
On Tuesday, 4,221 received the first vaccine shot and 5,539 got the second jab.
Over 1.28 million people in Lithuania have been vaccinated at least once, or 46 percent of the population, while over 1.08 million have already had two shots.
