Lithuania confirmed 115 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) said on Wednesday morning.
Fourteen cases are linked to Kaunas Musical Theatre. One of the people diagnosed with Covid-19 is a student at the Music Academy of Vytautas Magnus University. In all, there are 24 confirmed infections linked to Kaunas Musical Theatre.
Five people were diagnosed with Covid-19 after arriving in Lithuania from abroad: three from the UK, one from Belarus and one from Poland.
Eleven of the new cases are linked to a hospital in Šiauliai, northern Lithuania, one of the biggest clusters at the moment with 51 confirmed cases.
Two more cases are linked to Radviliškis Hospital, which currently accounts for 135 infections.
The source of 26 infections could not be traced, according to the NVSC.
Lithuania's total infection count currently stands at 4,693. At the moment, 2,217 of them are active cases and 2,365 people have recovered.
Ninety-two people have died of Covid-19 in the country so far, while 19 more who were diagnosed with the disease died of other causes, according to the NVSC.
At the moment, 23,981 people are in isolation. They include confirmed cases of Covid-19, their close contacts and travellers from coronavirus-affected countries.
