Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius received a letter of congratulations from US Secretary of State John Kerry in which he extended congratulations on the launch of the NordBalt and LitPol Link electrical connections.

"This day marks an important step in the process of the regional energy sector's integration. We congratulate Lithuania, Sweden, Poland and other partners for having implemented these key infrastructure projects," the letter reads, also noting that Lithuania is a true leader and reliable partner that seeks energy security and diversification in Europe.
