Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda will on Friday meet with his Estonian counterpart, Kersti Kaljulaid, who is visiting the country to discuss issues including the crisis in Belarus.
According to a press release from the Office of the Lithuanian President, it’s Kaljulaid’s first working visit to Lithuania during her term in office.
President Nausėda extended the invitation to his Estonian counterpart during the visit to Estonia on 20 August 2019.
During the meeting, the Baltic presidents will discuss issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Lithuania and Estonia in security and defense, energy and development of infrastructure, the EU agenda, the Eastern Partnership, the Astravyets NPP and the crisis in Belarus.
During her working visit, the Estonian president will also meet with Speaker of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis.
