Four new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lithuania over Monday, bringing the total number of infections to 1,639, the country's Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
Of them, 401 are considered active cases, while 1,165 people have already recovered.
So far, 65 people have died from the virus in Lithuania, and another eight patients who had the virus have died from other causes.
Two people with Covid-19 have passed away over the last 24 hours – a resident of a care home in Antaviliai near Vilnius and a patient at Santara Clinics in Vilnius, the country's National Public Health Centre told BNS on Tuesday.
“Both of the deceased were elder people, aged 81 years or more, and had other health conditions,” the centre's representative Rolanda Lingienė said.
Over Monday, Lithuania tested 5,169 people for Covid-19.
