Twenty-four new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Lithuania since Friday evening, bringing the country's total to 382, according to the National Public Health Surveillance Laboratory.
Out of the total 6,900 coronavirus tests carried out in Lithuania, 1,405 were done on Friday alone.
"The samples are being taken in an increasing [pace]," said Lithuanian Health Vice Minister Algirdas Šešelgis. "It seems there is an increase [in confirmed cases and] the virus in Lithuania is extremely dangerous."
He also urged people to stay indoors, despite the warm weekend weather.
