Lithuanian medical workers on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic will get a 15 percent pay increase, Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga said on Friday.
"All healthcare workers combatting the dangerous coronavirus will receive bonus payments amounting to 15 percent of their salaries," he told reporters.
Under the respective decree signed by the minister, bonus payments will be available throughout the quarantine period.
Coronavirus patients are currently treated at Vilnius' Santara Clinics, Kaunas Clinics, Klaipėda University Hospital, and the national hospitals in Šiauliai and Panevėžys.
Some 345 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lithuania so far.
