Lithuania will not deport foreigners whose residence in the country expires during the quarantine, the Migration Department has said.
The Lithuanian government put the country under quarantine on March 16, effectively closing the borders to international travel. It is likely that the quarantine will be extended beyond the original two-week period.
The Foreign Ministry has informed in a tweet that foreign residents whose period of legal residence in the country expires during the quarantine, but who cannot leave the country due to the travel restrictions, should contact the Migration Department.
