US director Frank Barn is shooting a documentary film about the Hill of Witches on Lithuania's picturesque Curonian Spit, with plans to present the movie at the international festival, The BEA Festival of Media Arts.

In Barn's words, the US does not have a single wooden sculpture in open air, as they would be destroyed by people or nature.

The abundant sculptures on the Hill of Witches have surprised the director in two ways – as cultural heritage, they tell stories of the people who lived there, and are also interesting as objects surviving the weather conditions, Klaipėda University said in a press release.

Constructed on the Hill of Witches 36 years ago, the 25 wooden sculpture remain and are part of the 80 works of art that exist on the hill.
