Lithuania's new government has declared its intention to introduce the euro in 2015. But will the euro zone itself be still there by then? Rūta Vainienė, until recently an economist with the Lithuanian Free Market Institute, a neo-liberal think tank (she left the Institute a month ago), says that Lithuania should strive for membership in the euro club, but without quite going until the end – and when the common currency completely loses ground, peg the litas to the price of gold. 15min talks to Vainienė about the future of the euro zone and Lithuania's prospects therein.
