Lithuania's Ministry of Culture on Monday announced the six winners of the country's National Prize for Culture and Arts.
They include film director Algimantas Puipa, opera singer Asmik Grigorian, Rugile Barzdziukaitė, Vaiva Grainytė and Lina Lapelytė, the authors of the Lithuanian pavilion at the Venice Biennale, composer Zita Bruzaitė and actor Viktorija Kuodytė.
The awards honour significant culture and achievements by Lithuanian creators and those representing the Lithuanian World Community over the past seven years, as well as works of art, crated over the course of one's life.
The financial award amounts to a total 30,400 euros, which will be presented during Lithuania's State Restoration Day on February 16.
