Russian national Anna Bogacheva, who was detained in Belarus following a request by the US, is now at liberty, the Russian Embassy in Minsk said on Tuesday, according to the Poland-based Belarusian news agency Belsat.
Following Mueller's investigation in the US, Bogacheva and 12 other citizens had charges brought against them for meddling in the 2016 US elections. She allegedly worked for the so-called troll farm, Internet Research Agency, established by Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Russian MP Viktor Vodolatsky stressed "betrayal" by the Belarusians, who according to him, are trying to show their independence form Moscow by complying with US instructions.
