Central bank governor ranked most influential civil servant in Lithuania

Vitas Vasiliauskas, the board chairman of the central Bank of Lithuania, has been named the most influential civil servant in Lithuania in the annual ranking published by the delfi.lt news website.

The ranking is based on a survey of 1,013 opinion leaders from different fields.

Vasiliauskas was ranked second last year and received 346 votes this year.

His if followed by Dainius Žalimas, president of the Constitutional Court, and Darius Jauniškis, director of the State Security Department who was ranked first last year.

The poll of 1,013 people was carried out by the Reitingai magazine for delfi.lt on June 20 through July 20.
