Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda confirmed on Tuesday that the ruling parties are proposing former Vice Minister of Transport Vladislav Kondrotovič to lead the ministry, and MP Jaroslav Narkevič to be the interior minister.
The president also confirmed that MP Andrius Palionis is being proposed to head the Ministry of Agriculture.
“Today, I can just state the fact that these are real candidates, and the parties that signed a coalition agreement have proposed these candidates,” Nausėda told reporters in Riga, adding that it was too early to tell if they would be appointed to the postitions.
Under the coalition agreement signed several weeks ago, the transport and interior ministerial portfolio went to the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance, and the Agriculture Ministry will be led by a representative of the Social Democratic Labor Party of Lithuania.
