Major rivers in Lithuania have reached critically low levels in the ongoing heatwave. A deer emerging from a forest effortlessly crossed Lithuania's largest river, Nemunas, with water barely reaching its knees.

The video taken by Justė Peleckaitė was uploaded to Facebook by Prienai Regional Municipality.

Acording to Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, three rivers have almost reached critical levels, while Lithuania's second largest river, Neris, is already at a crisis point due to the ongoing heatwave.
