Eight intoxicated British soldiers were detained in the Lithuanian seaside resort of Palanga on Sunday, the Police Department has reported.
The British soldiers were detained after a brawl broke out among a group of men in the town's central Basanavičius Street at around 5:40 in the morning.
An investigation into public order violations by two of the soldiers, who had 1.56 and 2.03 per mille of alcohol in their blood, was opened.
Protocols on administrative violations were drawn up against the other six soldiers who had between 0.88 and 2.07 per mille of alcohol in their blood.
The incident is further investigated by the military police.
