A heatwave in Lithuania is due to peak at 33 degrees on Wednesday.
In Palanga and Utena regions, the record temperatures were registered already on Tuesday.
"Temperatures across Lithuania will be between 28-33 degrees," said weather forecaster Eita Gečaitė on Wednesday.
On Thursday the temperature will reach up to 32 degrees, falling slightly to a maximum 30 degrees on Friday. Nights are also stuffy, between 16 and 19 degrees, with only a small chance of rain.
