Election commission members drunk on duty in Alytus – Lithuanian Police 2019.05.27 17:24

The police found three election commission members drunk at a polling station in Alytus, a town in southern Lithuania, after receiving a tip-off at 18:20 on Sunday.

All three members were found to be 'lightly' intoxicated, and later dismissed from their duties.

Edvardas Šileris, asistant to the Police Commissioner General, also said there were some strange calls from intoxicated people, but the latest election tendencies show more "culture, less criminality, less dirt and more order".

Chief of the Central Electorate Commission Laura Matjošaitytė told reporters the incident is being investigated.
