The Lithuanian capital has signed a 348,000-euro contract with PR agencies to promote itself among potential tourists and investors from abroad.
The campaign, which will last until 2022, will target tourists from Poland, Germany, the UK, Italy, and Israel, while potential investors will be sought in the Scandinavian countries as well as the UK and Germany.
Go Vilnius, the capital city's tourism and business promotion agency, has signed up two public relations firms, Integrity PR and Blue Oceans PR, for the campaign.
“You cannot work with the entire world at once, because you spread the effort too thin and it's hard to measure the results. You must first explore and get to know the market you want to work with and then direct your actions there,” Erika Brazaitytė, PR projects manager at Go Vilnius, told BNS.
The campaign will seek to present Vilnius as an accessible city which is friendly for business, clean and green, safe, welcoming, a good place for creative initiatives and testing new ideas.
