Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has invited Israeli model Bar Refaeli, one of the hosts of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest, to visit the Baltic country after she disclosed she was “half Lithuanian”.
The prime minister tweeted the invitation on Friday in response to the famous Israeli model saying during the second Eurovision final that she had Lithuanian roots.
“And here is another fun fact for you, guys. I am half Lithuanian. I would say that that is my better half, but that would get my husband jealous,” the Eurovision host said after the Lithuanian performance by Jurij Veklenko.
“#Eurovision2019: @BarRefaeli thank you for your kind words. I invite you and your husband to visit Lithuania and to see that your ‘better half’ is really worth 12 points. Lithuania is waiting for everyone to come back to their ancestral land,” the prime minister tweeted.
Unfortunately, Veklenko failed to qualify for the song contest's final with his song ‘Run With The Lions’.
