Lithuania manages "its public finances transparently,” said Lithuania’s Finance Minister Vilius Šapoka in a press release. “Therefore the public, the media, the investors as well as academic and international community can be well informed” on public finances, said Šapoka on Monday.
International Monetary Fund (IMF) published a report on May 3, 2019, rating Lithuania’s fiscal transparency. The report undertaken at the request of Lithuania’s Ministry of Finance, found that the country meets good or advanced practice in most fiscal transparency principles.
However, IMF notes there is room for improvement.
