General Jonathan H. Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces, arrived for his first official visit to Lithuania on Wednesday.
The visit is aimed at strengthening transatlantic relations and military cooperation between Canada and the Baltic countries, its Eastern European allies, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence said.
On Thursday, Vance is scheduled to meet with Defence Minister Raimundas Karoblis, Lithuania's Chief of Defence Lieutenant General Jonas Vytautas Žukas and other military officials.
