Tuberculosis claimed eleven lives in Lithuania in the first three months of 2019, the Centre for Communicable Diseases and AIDS said on Monday.
Nine of them died of respiratory tuberculosis and two, of miliary tuberculosis. The age of the victims ranged between 32 and 94 years.
Ten fatal cases of tuberculosis were registered in the country in the same period of 2018.
