AirBaltic to cover for bankrupt Air Lituanica for two weeks

On 26 May Air Lituanica, the airline owned by the city of Vilnius that went under last week, reached an agreement with AirBaltic to take over obligations to passengers who booked flights until 5 June.

On 26 May Air Lituanica, the airline owned by the city of Vilnius that went under last week, reached an agreement with AirBaltic to take over obligations to passengers who booked flights until 5 June.

Passengers flying out on 30 May have already received information about the flights. Passengers flying on 31 May - 5 June will get a reservation messages to their e-mails about the availability of flights with AirBaltic and should contact AirBaltic customer service centre for a new route choice.

AirBaltic accept Air Lituanica passengers on BT flights from and to Amsterdam, Brussels, Prague, Munich, Paris, Billund, Stockholm, Vilnius, Tallinn, Hamburg, said Air Lituanica in a statement.

As reported, Air Lituanica stopped its operations on 22 May.
